Coco has lived and worked around the world as a military daughter, wife, and mom, but now calls the wild Oregon coast home. She loves a salty breeze, a gorgeous sunset over the ocean, and a good story taking shape.

A country girl at heart, Coco loves critters of all kinds, beautiful surroundings, hard work, and a touch of adventure. Her writing draws from a life spent in many places—rural and urban, domestic and diplomatic—and from a deep appreciation for everyday moments, unsung heroes, faith, and the stories that connect us.

Raised in a family of storytellers led by her father, who could hold a room with nothing more than a tall tale and a twinkle in his eye, Coco learned early the power of a good story—and she’s been telling her own ever since.

The Heart Behind the Stories:

  • Words can stir up a belly laugh or stop you in your tracks. They can paint a picture, challenge your thinking, or open a place in your heart you didn't even know was shut tight. I write because the right words, in the right moment, do something beautiful.

  • If you have good thoughts, they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely. Roald Dahl

    1. Children. No one can imagine, believe, trust, love, laugh, and create like kids.

    2. The smell of rain in the desert.

    3. Morning birds and evening frogs.

    4. The salty mist rising from the sea.
